Jewelry Trend- Long, Layered Necklaces

Gigis Bluffton - Monday, March 09, 2015

This Spring and Summer a huge trend that's on fleek (the quality of being perfect; cool) is to layer necklaces. After a few seasons of large oversized necklaces, you may feel a bit naked or bare, but minimalist jewelry can actually make you look effortlessly put together. A combination of delicate, simple pieces is very casually chic and classic. Take a look at some pictures below that I found on Pinterest.

Here at Gigi's Boutique, we have what you need to pull this look together. If layering feels overwhelming, we even have some one piece necklaces that combine the look of three necklaces in one.  Or, if you want to personalize and have fun layering just follow these 3 steps:

1) Start with a collar/ choker necklace. This necklace should be the shortest and fall in between your neck and collar bone.

2) Add a necklace that's a little longer. Look for a bar or something horizontal.

3) Add a longer necklace with a pendant.

... and Viola'! That's all there is to it! So, have fun with your jewelry this Spring/ Summer and try layering your necklaces. It will add an effortless, stylish look to your outfit.

What's New at Gigi's Boutique

Gigis Bluffton - Thursday, July 17, 2014

At Gigi's Boutique in Bluffton, we love bringing our customers what's new in fashion all the time. A store that stays the same is so boring! We have some fabulous recent additions to the store to share with you today!

We're excited about Giving Tree Necklaces. Hand stamped onto keys with words such as "faith" or "strength" or "love", these necklaces are sweeping the country. Buy the one you need, and when you no longer need it, give it to someone who does. Perhaps you are in need of love. Get one of these fashionable necklaces and perhaps love will come to you! When it does, give it to a friend who needs it.  And it keeps on going!  It's the necklace that keeps on giving.  We just love the concept and the style.

We also recently added the AMAZING Instasculpt Jeans -- you have to try them on to believe it!  They suck you in but do so comfortably. We have a few new shoes in store that are perfect to add to your summer wardrobe. We also added a few new bags, all at great prices, so you can capture the trends easily! We love this gold metallic number recently added -- it adds a nice touch to any outfit.

Lastly, we're excited about a few new beach cover ups that are in store. Since we are often running from the river, to the boat, to the beach, to the pool, then off to the grocery store or errands -- it's important to have a cute cover up that goes with you and looks great wherever you are!  This one shown above and several others will do the trick. It's a one piece shorts cover up with a fun pattern and bold colors. So in style!

Come on in and see more of what's new in fashion, jewelry, shoes, and accessories at Gigi's Boutique in Bluffton!

4th of July Looks

Gigis Bluffton - Friday, June 20, 2014

We can hardly believe that 4th of July is right around the corner.  Gigi's Boutique has plenty of patriotic attire that's perfect for any way you choose to celebrate the 4th.  Whether it's watching fireworks from the boat or at the beach and you need something casual, comfy and stylish, or a more dressed up look for the country club -- we have something that fits both.

Gigi's Boutique has a variety of dresses to choose from right now! We love this one by Michael Stars. It's cotton fabric is comfy and casual. It looks great around town or at night dressed up with jewelry and heels.

We love this strapless cotton dress, too. It's maxi style is comfortable and flattering on all types of bodies!

We absolutely love this tailored and polish look.  The ruffled neck looks adorable and really transforms the dress into something a bit more special.

We love this blue and white print as an option for the 4th of July, too!  It's silk fabric is light and breezy and dressed up too.

Don't forget that we have plenty of red, white and blue accessories.  From earings to necklaces to bracelets and bags.

What's your favorite style and what are your plans for the 4th? We'd love to hear from you! Leave us a comment here on our blog or on our Facebook page.  Happy almost 4th of July, Y'All.

What's Hot For Summer 2014

Gigis Bluffton - Wednesday, May 28, 2014

With Memorial Day behind us, we are in full summer swing here in the Lowcountry.  School is out for summer, we're headed to backyard barbecues, we're on the boat, and headed to the beach and pool just about every chance we can get. Summer 2014 is upon us!

So what are we wearing? Bluffton Lowcountry style is effortless and chic. It's not fussy and never will be, perhaps that's the beauty of it!  This season Gigi's Girls are wearing lots of shorts, colorful and fun printed tunics, dresses, and maxi's. Everything is comfortable and wearable from the beach to the barbecue to the boat.

There are so many ways to embrace summer style in the Lowcountry! The important part of your summer style is feeling comfortable and confident in your look.  Come into the store and see what's new and have one of our Gigi's Girls play dress up with you (always our favorite thing to do!)
